Style Director at Over the Moon
Q: As the Style Director for Over The Moon, how would you describe your approach to curating products, whether to style a home, event, or bride? What key elements do you always prioritize when curating looks?
As the Style Director at Over The Moon, I draw on my eight years of experience as an editor at Vogue to create an editorial vision that resonates with the aesthetic of the space or event while honoring each person's unique style. I focus on achieving a cohesive look that reflects individuality, striking the right balance between distinctiveness and simplicity. My guiding principle is to choose items that you’ll cherish and appreciate for years to come.

Q: You’ve worked on iconic bridal moments and celebrations. Where do you find inspiration for the unique styling that Over The Moon is known for, especially for weddings?
I draw inspiration from various sources, including old editorial spreads, archival runway collections, iconic movie moments, and the weddings of fashion icons, some including Claudia Schiffer, Audrey Hepburn, Bianca Jagger, and Grace Kelly. I also find fresh ideas in the weddings showcased on Over The Moon and in Vogue. It’s essential not to limit your search for inspiration. Some of the best ideas can come from simply observing the world around you—whether you’re walking down the street, traveling, or just experiencing everyday life. Stay curious, and you’ll find fresh inspiration everywhere.
"When it comes to styling a tabletop for weddings or events, I always recommend incorporating SFERRA linens. Two of my favorites are the Classico Collection and the Festival Collection, both available in a variety of colorways and with monogramming options."

Q: Textiles play a significant role in creating luxurious experiences. How do you incorporate high-quality linens, such as SFERRA, into the settings you style for weddings and events?
When it comes to styling a tabletop for weddings or events, I always recommend incorporating SFERRA linens. Two of my favorites are the Classico Collection and the Festival Collection, both available in a variety of colorways and with monogramming options. The quality is outstanding, making these classic pieces something you’ll treasure and eventually pass down. They pair beautifully with decorative dinnerware and glassware, creating an ideal blend of timeless elegance and bold statements.
Q: With your pulse on bridal fashion, are there any trends in bridal style or event design that you’re excited to see emerging in the coming seasons?
I’m excited to see a trend toward more classic, fitted styles for ceremony dresses, often featuring capes or draping. Brides seem to be favoring refined, elegant looks over traditional full-skirted “princess” gowns. In terms of wedding weekend attire, appliqués and rich floral designs are gaining popularity. There's also a noticeable shift in after-party attire, with brides choosing elegant midi dresses or coordinated sets that often feature corsets or flowing silk gowns, reminiscent of Old Hollywood glamour. Vintage pieces are becoming increasingly sought after for their unique charm and significance. I recommend Tab Vintage and Happy Isles for exquisite options. Clients often opt for custom or semi-custom designs, and I highly recommend Patricia Voto from One/Of, who excels at bringing individual visions to life.
Q: As a New Yorker, what are your must-have essentials for your home that incorporate style and comfort?
Creating a warm and inviting home while maintaining style involves balancing various elements—mixing high and low, old and new, antique and contemporary. Incorporate unique china and glassware to elevate entertaining experiences, and use fresh flowers to enliven your decor.
Statement pieces, like a striking lamp or antique coffee table, can enhance the atmosphere while keeping it comfortable. Focus on harmonious prints and textures, and adorn your walls with artwork, complemented by thoughtful lighting. If you’re in a smaller space, a well-placed mirror can create an illusion of openness.
When it comes to bedding, SFERRA is my go-to for comfort, quality, and style. I highly recommend their Somerset Duvet; it’s light yet provides just the right amount of warmth.
Additionally, I suggest the Grande Hotel collection for your bedroom linens, which not only creates a sophisticated look but also adds an inviting touch of comfort to your space.

Q: What advice would you give to aspiring stylists or creative directors who want to curate high-end, luxurious looks?
Always prioritize your client's personal style while encouraging them to explore unexpected options that can enhance their look. Start with a classic, chic foundation, then elevate the outfit with unique accessories and statement jewelry.
Blending vintage and contemporary pieces can infuse character into any wardrobe. Help clients find that standout item—be it a striking dress or a bold piece of jewelry—and build a fashionable look around it.
